Eco-Friendly Travel Products
1. Reusable Water Bottle with Filtration System
Staying hydrated is essential for everyone, especially travelers on the go. That’s why a reusable water bottle is an excellent item for travelers to have. This avoids polluting the earth with more plastic water bottles.
Water is unsafe to drink in many countries, forcing you to buy more bottled water. However, you can purchase a water bottle with a filtration system to solve this problem. These systems clean tap water and river water. Therefore, you save money on buying plastic water bottles and avoid contributing to pollution.
2. Solar Power Bank
If there is something that we always use, it’s a cell phone, and of course, we must constantly be charging it. So why not charge it from an ecological source such as a portable charger? This power bank is a great product to have, and it helps the environment by avoiding the consumption of electrical energy.
3. Kindle
To be completely honest, reading from a Kindle is not my favorite way to read. I love actual books, and I love having a collection. However, traveling and moving around a lot means I can’t carry books with me. This has forced me to buy digital books for my Kindle, and therefore I have forcefully been kinder to the environment by cutting back on printed books.
This is a perfect way to be less wasteful and an excellent eco-friendly travel product.
4. Tru Earth Laundry Strips
Yes, or yes, this is indeed a product that we all must-have. These strips take up very little space are ecological, vegan, hypoallergenic, and paraben-free. In addition, these strips have changed the way we wash our clothes because they save a lot of detergent and water.
In addition, being so compact amazingly reduces space and thus less plastic and fuel to transport it. Think about it. This is the new and better way to wash your clothes. And best of all, Tru Earth has many other great eco-friendly products for your travels and home.
5. Deet Free Insect Repellent
This insect repellent protects against mosquitos and the West Nile virus. It’s based on lemon and eucalyptus, which is the only plant-based ingredient recommended by the Centers for Disease Control andDon’tention (CDC). This insect repellent cannot be missing on trips because humans are constantly exposed to these annoying insects.
6. Reef Friendly Sunscreen
Whenever we travel, sunscreen is a must in our backpacks. It is very common to use it when we go to beaches or rivers. Unfortunately, most sunscreens that come in contact with water are harmful. You can avoid contamination of the water by using this reef-safe sunscreen. This ecological product is perfect because it uses natural products, is very safe for our skin and the planet, and protects our reefs. So don’t miss it in your backpack!
7. Biodegradable Bamboo Toothbrushes
Bamboo grows very quickly without the need for fertilizers, which is why they are ideal if we want to avoid the thousands of tons of plastic produced annually with normal plastic brushes. In addition, the bristles are super soft and take care of our gums. So don’t think about it so much and keep that beautiful smile you have now with an ecological bamboo brush.
10. Reusable Straw
On that same note, you can carry your straw and avoid using plastic ones. They are sustainable and don’t take up much space in a backpack. Unfortunately, straws are one of the items most found in the oceans. So, by cutting your use of plastic ones, you are helping the ocean animals. This straw here is perfect for traveling. It’s compact and expands to the size you need.

Travel Booking Resources
Book Your Flight:
To find cheap flights, check Skyscanner and Google Flights. These search engines check airlines to find you the best deals. The more flexibility you have, the better flight deals available.
Book Your Accommodation:
Booking.com is my favorite booking site for hotels but it also shows great deals on hostels and apartments. Plus, when you reach Genius Level, you get special discounts, included breakfasts, and upgrades on some hotel rooms. Hostelworld is specifically for budget travelers who enjoy hostels. This is the best place for finding great options.
Don’t Forget Travel Insurance and Visa Applications:
Travel insurance will protect you against theft, injury, illness, and cancellations. Sometimes unexpected things happen during a trip and protections will keep you covered. Two great options are: Safety Wing and World Nomads. Also, iVisa can help you get a visa if you need one.
Book Tours:
Sometimes the best way to see a place is through tours. I recommend checking out Get Your Guide for some fun and unique adventures wherever you go.
